Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 June 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data CODIANT collects when you use our website or work with us, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have.
01. Who we are
CODIANT is a design and engineering studio born in Luanda, Angola, with a presence in Madrid, Spain. In this policy, “CODIANT”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the studio that operates this website and provides our services. We are the controller responsible for your personal data.
This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@codiant.ao.
02. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you give us — when you contact us, request a proposal, apply for a role, or subscribe, you may provide your name, email, company, and any details you include in your message.
- Information collected automatically — like most websites, we collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, referring pages, and how you navigate the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies — we use cookies to keep the site working and, with your consent, to understand how it is used. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
03. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for.
- Prepare proposals, manage projects, and communicate with you about engagements.
- Review job applications and contact candidates.
- Operate, secure, and improve our website and measure its performance.
- Send you updates you have asked to receive, which you can stop at any time.
- Comply with our legal obligations and protect our rights.
04. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies and marketing emails); the performance of a contract (to deliver services you request); our legitimate interests (to run and improve our business and keep the site secure); and compliance with legal obligations.
05. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business — such as hosting, analytics, email, and payment providers — and only as needed to perform their service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, and in connection with a business transfer.
06. International transfers
We operate from Angola and Spain and work with clients and providers around the world, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected, including using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
07. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymise it.
08. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access — including encryption in transit, access controls, and the principle of least privilege. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.
09. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, withdraw consent, and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@codiant.ao. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we will provide a more prominent notice where appropriate.
13. Contact us
For any question about this policy or how we handle your data, email hello@codiant.ao.
